Jess’s career in Interior Design began with designing Holiday Rental’s for the To Let market. We understand what our development clients are wanting to achieve in this sector, delivering focus to overall profit in line with giving guests a memorable experience. Our Process Overview
In today’s society, your business is so much more than just the service you offer, your service, food or product can be the best in the business, but if your interior space doesn’t match this quality, people may decide to go elsewhere.
With so much competition out there, every single element of your service matters and your interior space making people feel amazing and looking beautiful for a photograph is huge.
Acquiring Initial Brief & Exploration of Space
We spend time and continuously work with clients to fully understand who their target market and their brand is and what message you want the interior design to convey.
We conduct an onsite survey to explore every inch of your space and discuss tastes, budgets, time-frame and general desires. We have the software, the expertise and the skill to explore your space to achieve the best layout possible to maximise your investment and available footprint.
Development of the Design and Internal Direction
Once we have the internal layout finalised and we understand how the space flows and functions, we move onto the fabrics and finishes stage. Working with a myriad of factors as part of your space and brief, such as natural light, your outlined tastes and style direction, our design team transform the space layout with furniture, finishes, textures and fabrics to ensure design longevity and that the schemes are in line with regulations.
Implementation and Execution of the Design Scheme
Once the design scheme has been signed off and the project is ready to start its transformation, we can oversee and manage the full interior project to ensure it’s fulfilled perfectly. We have an incredible team of contractors and suppliers that can execute our designs immaculately. We do have a package available for where clients can implement their own projects, but its always absolutely best practice to have your designer onboard throughout.

Dental Practice Liverpool
Working with an incredible brand in the dentistry industry, we created a design for their new flagship store in Liverpool, which we are now also working on rolling out into their other 3 practices. This property is a listed building with so much heritage, JMD created the full interior architecture and design scheme for this incredible space, the doors will be opening early 2023.

Beauty Salon Cross Hills
We worked with our wonderful client to bring her idea for a brand all about your beauty within to life. No Filter’s ethos is centred around whatever makes you feel beautiful, that’s all that matters. So we created a beautiful design scheme based on natural and rustic tones as a nod to our natural selves, and elevated this with opulent materials and furniture pieces to reference the in house treatments.

Restaurant Peak District
Situated in the heart of the Peak District, is the new and soon to be opening Deacons Bank Restaurant. Bringing the grandeur and opulence of city cultured, fine dining to the countryside. Deacons Bank’s menu and general brand ethos is so different to anything this town has seen before, so it was JMD’s job to create an interior that wowed and felt completely original and luxurious.

Storage was a core element of the brief, so we designed a completely custom range of furniture to suit the space and allow the staff to function effortlessly.

Our client at Greenlane Dental wanted to reinvent her space to reflect the new brand and service offering direction. Utilising existing pieces of furniture to maximise budget with a brand new finish and colour palette, that now emulates high end hotel chic.

Glazing Showroom
Jessica May Design was enlisted to create the full interior architecture and design scheme for our clients new glazing showroom. We had an incredibly open brief, but to ensure the product stood proud. Designing the existing single level space into an effortlessly ergonomic and fluid space that creates an experience and a unique journey for our clients customers.
